10 Wrestling Matches You Won't Believe Happened In 2017

9. Terry Funk Et Al Vs. Jerry Lawler Et Al

Terry Funk has reversed more retirement decisions than you've had hot dinners, but when he hung his boots up last year it really did seem like that was it. The guy is 73, for God's sake.

To step back into the ring at that age, even if only as part of a six-man tag team match, is pretty incredible - and testament to the fact that Funk, a bonafide wrestling legend before many of today's current stars were even born, truly is as tough as they come.

He wasn't the only senior citizen in this match either. His teammates, the Rock'n' Roll Express, have a combined age of 120, and in the opposite corner, alongside Doug Gilbert and son Brian Christopher, was 68-year-old Jerry "The King" Lawler.

Needless to say, it wasn't exactly fought at break-neck speed, but you simply have to take your hat off to anyone who is prepared to put their body on the line in the name of entertainment at a point in their lives when most of us would be content sitting in our armchairs in front of the television.
