10 Wrestling Matches You Won't Believe Have Never Happened In WWE

3. Brock Lesnar Vs. Finn Bálor

This dream match was expected to happen at some point during 2017. Had Finn Bálor not gotten injured in winning the WWE Universal Championship, it could well have been a major pay-per-view main event already. But get injured he did, and the entire course of the big red belt changed as a result. Bálor’s booking has been nothing short of disappointing since his post-WrestleMania 33 return.

Despite the Demon’s stop-start 2017, the match was still bandied about as a possible Universal Championship match at the 2018 Royal Rumble. Some reports suggested that the match was nixed due to Bálor’s popularity, but this was more a case of conjecture than anything else. Bálor is still extremely over, and his time against the Beast Incarnate is sure to come.

Will it come in 2018? That all depends on what Brock Lesnar does following WrestleMania 34, and it is clear that Lesnar does what Lesnar wants. If The Conquerer wants to go back to the UFC, he will do just that. If he wants to go and fight bears on his farm, he will. If he wants to stay in WWE, a marquee singles match with the first ever Universal Champion awaits.
