10 Wrestling Matches You Won't Believe Have Never Happened In WWE

4. Dean Ambrose Vs. Finn Bálor

Finn Bálor has had high profile singles matches against Dean Ambrose’s cohorts in The Shield, but the Demon and the Lunatic Fringe are yet to do battle on TV. It is difficult to imagine a future in which this match doesn’t happen, although injuries are to blame for it not happening as of yet.

Initially on opposite brands following the split in 2016, Bálor and Ambrose were on top of their respective mountains at the end of that year’s SummerSlam. The Irishman’s tenure was depressingly short however, ended the following day because of the torn labrum that subsequently kept him out of action for half a year.

Then-Intercontinental Champion Dean Ambrose moved over to RAW following WrestleMania 33, as part of the 2017 Superstar Shake-Up. Both Bálor and Ambrose were babyfaces for the rest of the year, although Dean was widely expected to turn heel in early 2018. Injury intervened again; a triceps tear put Ambrose out of action for nine months.

Finn Bálor and Dean Ambrose are yet to do battle in singles competition, but you’d get long odds on it happening before all is said and done for both men. This is another major first time match waiting to happen.
