This also being the same person who had won an Olympic gold medal with a broken freakin' neck, the statement of Kurt Angle being one freakishly tough son of a gun is admittedly stating the obvious.

But in a time before concussions were treated with the level of respect they undoubtedly warrant, Angle's sheer grit and determination left the Olympic Hero with next to no memory of one of his most dramatic evenings within a WWE ring.

With the original plan being for Angle to work being knocked out early on in his contest with Triple H and The Rock at SummerSlam 2000 after being put through a table by the former, Angle ended up being legit KO'd by said announce desk pedigree.

And upon rewatching the contest that saw him return to the action despite nursing a heavy concussion, the Hall of Famer would note:

"... you could tell I was completely out of it. You could tell they were calling spots to me if you look very closely. I don’t have any recollection of the match."

The fact Angle was effortlessly letting loose belly-to-bellies and eating Rock Bottoms when he should've been safely lying in a hospital bed is as frightening as it is astounding in hindsight.
