10 Wrestling Moments That Scared The Sh*t Out Of Fans
6. The Ultimate Warrior Needs CPR
'Taker was responsible for this horror show too.
His feud with The Ultimate Warrior ultimately (ha) went nowhere in the summer of 1991. They didn't get a pay-per-view battle out of it, but did work countless 'Casket Matches' (and 'Bodybag Matches') on the house shows circuit for a good few months before Warrior departed the promotion post-SummerSlam.
During one memorable angle shot for Superstars, The Undertaker attacked Warrior and placed him inside one of his trademark coffins. Then, the heel locked the thing tight as Vince McMahon barked on commentary that somebody had to help the beloved babyface before he was starved of oxygen and thus died.
Various officials eventually popped the lid on the casket and gave an unconscious Warrior CPR. It all looks hokey as heck now, but this angle was one of the federation's scariest at the time. This writer watched as a child, and he feared that one of his faves had been murdered on telly.
Tears were shed.
