Generally speaking, the average human being shouldn't engage in any physical activities when they're rehabbing a broken neck. Pro wrestlers aren't average though. Then-wrestling machine Kurt Angle certainly seemed superhuman in 2003 when he agreed to appear at WrestleMania XIX with a neck fracture.

Then, just to prove he's harder than steel, Angle took some German suplexes from Brock too. Think about that: Kurt was working with a broken neck, but he willingly landed on the back of it just so Lesnar could power through some of his favourite moves. There was also just no way Angle was missing out on a 'Mania payday.

It could've killed him, man!

Most fans knew the situation going in, and that made the headliner seem dangerous. Only Angle himself really knows how he managed to wrestle a 21-minute long main event with a fractured neck and come away breathing. The bout is still scary to watch today.
