The lines between reality and fantasy seem to be blurring more and more with each coming week when it pertains to this surreal pre-determined sport we call professional wrestling.

Look no further than Survivor Series 2021's mouth-watering real-life-turned-storyline grudge match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair as an example of how even the tiniest snippet of behind-the-scenes drama can help imbue a contest with a new sense of purpose and make it a truly can't miss affair.

However, whilst many fans are very much aware that this particular contest, whilst rooted in some seemingly legit beef, is still being worked to the maximum on TV and in interviews, there have been those other moments that appeared to be nothing more than a piece of plain ol' kayfabe that actually turned out to be far more real than originally thought.

All in all, it's a testament to the performers on this list that fans were largely unaware of the genuine drama that was unfolding in front of their very eyes, be that in the form of a mid-match calamity, real-life heat fuelling a war, or even some backstage politics influencing events

10. Mark Henry Didn't Know His Pod Was Going To Break At Elimination Chamber

As you're likely more than aware of at this point, the art of professional wrestling is an unpredictable one even at the best of times. Regardless of the fact the many talented performers involved put in years of blood, sweat, and tears to ensure they can protect their colleagues and execute a match as effectively as possible, sometimes things just don't go to plan.

Look no further than the moment Mark Henry's pod was pulverised in the middle of the 2015 Elimination Chamber contest over the Intercontinental Championship. Far from being part of this particular script for the bout, the moment Dolph Ziggler was launched through the plexiglass came completely out of left field and forced Henry to think on his feet.

After first visually hesitating and taking a second to assess his options, the owner of The Hall of Pain clocked eyes with the ref and decided to go all in on an early arrival into the match. Understandably a little flustered by the turn of events, Henry would then proceed to break up a pin in an elimination contest. But given the circumstances, mighty Mark still did an admirable job of disguising the c*ck-up to those watching on live.
