It's not exactly breaking news to announce that Jim Ross is one of the most professional and all-around impressive commentators to even take up a headset. No matter the curveball hurled his way, the iconic voice of wrestling will usually do everything in his power to roll with the punches.

However, in the case of the 2008 WWE Draft, even good ol' J.R. was struggling to mask his confusion and genuinely p*ssed reaction to being thrown straight in the deep end on live TV. With the legendary ringside presence's face flashing up on screen to suddenly announce that he'd be moving to SmackDown, leaving Raw for the first time in nearly 12 years, a look of muted shock washed over the cowboy-hat wearing star.

Fans at the time simply thought Ross was in on the angle and playing up to the "anything can happen" nature of the Draft. But a post on his blog the next day soon revealed how legitimately angry he was at not being told of the move beforehand and how it had made him consider leaving his post altogether. Ever the professional, though, J.R. stayed put and put his all into team blue.
