Full Gear 2021 will likely go down in history as one of the finest PPVs of our time. And though the night saw almost every contest deliver a four-star or more display, that doesn't mean there weren't a few real-life missteps along the way.

The most notable calamity to go down on the show came in the form of Dax Harwood reportedly being legit "nearly knocked out" by Rey Fenix during the pair's tag team showdown over the AEW duos titles. Yet, this injury was largely swept under the rug as it was believed that Harwood was simply sticking to the script in not being directly involved in the odd match-ending sequence that saw Cash Wheeler being pinned despite being the masked "illegal man".

In truth, Harwood was supposed to play a part in the conclusion, but instead kept himself out of the exchange due to the Fenix KO shot. The Lucha Brother was said to have caught heat backstage for the incident, largely because he didn't check up on the FTR man after the fact.

However, with both teams being two of the finest plying their trade in the industry today, most fans weren't aware of the change of plan on the night.
