10 Wrestling Moves That Look Like They Could Legitimately Kill You

3. Dragon Suplex

A German Suplex is a dangerous enough move, what with its high likelihood of dumping the recipient on the back of his head. A Dragon Suplex takes that chance of catastrophe and gleefully dials it up to 100% by using a full nelson as the starting point.

While a regular German aims to land the opponent on the back or shoulders, a Dragon Suplex really only leaves room for the neck and the back of the skull to take the impact.

Once more it's in Japan this move gets broken out the most, because landing on your head is how Japanese wrestlers say hello. It's a move for proficient grapplers to show off their capacity to break out apparently fatal moves without actually braining anyone, hence indie technical supremo Zack Sabre Jr and NJPW maestro Kenny Omega using it.

It's another move where the wrestler taking it literally trusts the opponent with his life, and is rarely seen inside the more safety-conscious WWE rings of today.
