Just in case you ever needed a reminder, Vince McMahon may be one of the greatest promoters in the history of entertainment, but not every thought/idea that pops into his head is on the money.

For an example of this, look no further than when the boss refused to allow Becky Lynch time on the microphone because he felt that fans simply wouldn't be able to get their heads around what she was saying in her Irish accent. As we now know, those frequently tuning into SmackDown and paying their cash to watch the Lass Kicker do her thing on the blue show were having none of it and pushed for Lynch to be given the spotlight more often.

Then, in the wake of a botched attempt at a heel turn at SummerSlam 2018, Lynch was finally given some significant time on the stick on the next edition of SmackDown. Despite WWE trying their best to frame her as a detestable heel, the thousands in attendance praised her every word. They understood their anti-hero clearly, and were more than willing to show McMahon how wrong he was to keep The Man away from The Mic.
