For the longest time, it looked like all hope of ever seeing Daniel Bryan perform inside of a WWE ring had been lost forever. After discovering a chronic lesion on his brain after suffering multiple concussions, the former WWE Champion was told that he'd never wrestle again by doctors. This news ultimately led to Bryan's shocking decision to retire in 2016 and opened the door for a new role as SmackDown's General Manager.
But Bryan had not given up on his dream of once again donning his gear in the squared circle.
