5. Triple H Gets Racist

Right.

Later in 2003, did Triple H throw money in Goldberg's face? Did he suggest that Goldberg was better off dancing than wrestling?

*WWE stan intensifies*

"Umm, Goldberg is bald, so he couldn't say he had nappy hair actually!"

OK.

When Sting and Triple H duelled on the mic, did Triple H say that people like "him" didn't get to be World Champion?

Incredibly, WWE Executive Director of RAW and SmackDown Bruce Prichard claimed on his podcast a few years back that Booker T was just a "WCW guy". WCW guys don't get to be WWE World Champions, come on, don't get it twisted. Don't be racist.

This infamous promo was very cheap, even by wrestling standards, but excused by wrestling standards in the inevitable event of Booker T avenging the racism. He didn't avenge the racism. He f*cking lost at WrestleMania XIX, and Triple H took 23 seconds to bother himself to pin him. The shovel was too heavy, you see. This promo and the match result fundamentally broke the trust of fans in the concept of the payoff.

That's drastic, but about as drastic as the obvious outcome was obvious.

If Booker T didn't go over...
