10 Wrestling Promos WWE Regret

4. Stephanie McMahon Buries Everybody

WWE won't feel regret over any Stephanie McMahon promo, much less all of them, but all of them are the problem.

Stephanie McMahon's destructive and plain f*cking weird insistence on hating everything - the "You're so negative!" mutants really should direct their ire towards her - rendered it incredibly difficult to believe in anybody. Her character had a mission to do what was best for business, even if that upset the fans. Ostensibly, this was pretext to favour the heels who best represented the traditional image of a WWE Superstar TM in what was a meta saga that spanned three years and failed to produce anything resembling a new antihero. Daniel Bryan was white-hot months before the Authority formed, and they tried very hard not to make him.

And that's because she hated everything. And everybody.

But, to be specific, she, a heel, in a very weird and very illustrative moment really hated heel Charlotte Flair. In a practically violent tone, she eviscerated Flair for turning on her father. She dominated the screen, dwarfing the statuesque in-ring prodigy, and let her f*cking have it. Flair got b*llocked, for following the actions in a script, by a heel who ordinarily valued ruthlessness as a characteristic, and for what?

Because the McMahons are f*cking insane and they've driven off half the audience in five years?
