3. Kurt Angle Feels Disrespected By People Copying His Moves

The Kurt Angle we knew in 2012 was very different to the one who eventually returned home to WWE back in 2017. Still feeling somewhat bitter towards his former employers and batting for the TNA team at the time, Angle wasn't above firing some shots at the competition should the opportunity present itself.

And that's precisely what happened when the Olympic gold medalist was interviewed by the New York Post around this time. On the subject of various WWE stars executing his moves in a variety of different spots, Angle clearly wasn't best pleased about the likes of Jack Swagger and Randy Orton using his finishers whilst he was still an active performer in the industry.

As Kurt put it himself:

"When Jack Swagger copies my ankle lock and Randy Orton does my Angle Slam, it's disrespectful. I didn't come up with the Ankle Lock, Ken Shamrock came up with the Ankle Lock but I waited until he retired to do the Ankle Lock. That company has no respect for me."

In recent times, Angle has thankfully softened on this critical stance, even going as far as to admit that he's glad Apollo is currently using said Angle Slam.
