Oh Wade Barrett. This isn't his first entry and unfortunately it won't be his last either.

The four superstars that made up the League were exactly that: superstars. Three out of four were incredibly over, with fans adoring Barrett's Bad News gimmick and Bullhammer elbow, popping huge for Alberto Del Rio's return following a successful run on the indies and clamouring for a Rusev push after an impressive maiden year on the main roster. Unfortunately, only Sheamus was struggling with the fans, so WWE naturally had him win the WWE championship and had the other three be his minions.

However, fans and critics alike soon grew aware of creative's real reason for the group: make Roman look strong. Arriving between 'Manias 31 and 32, the height of Roman rejection, within only their SECOND match, the entire group were defeated on RAW in a 4-on-1 handicap match. Whilst the defeat was merely a countout, to the fans it portrayed the League as idiots and Reigns as an unstoppable bore. Had WWE used the group properly and truly shown Reigns' struggle, all five superstars could have been solidified in the fans' eyes. Instead, fans internally weeped for their fallen favourites and continued to boo Roman. Still, at least we got to see Stone Cold, HBK and Mick Foley... burying these four at Mania.
