10 Wrestling Stories That Prove Haku Was Badass
8. Apologise To My Friends (Chris Candido)
Haku's reputation had clearly preceded him long before he made his way over to WCW, but that didn't stop Eric Bischoff and Greg Gagne from committing a faux-pas that almost saw them face the wrath of the Tongan.
Chris Candido spoke about an incident where he was having a conversation with Haku alongside Tammy Lynn Sytch and Chris Jericho, only to have it interrupted when Bischoff and Gagne walked in front of them and started talking to Haku.
Haku was none too pleased. As Candido states in an interview with Highspots:
He looks at them and goes ‘Hey!’ And the entire locker room just froze. I was like ‘Man, these weren’t just funny stories, this guy must really be tough.’ And then Meng says, ‘Apologize to my friends, I’m talking’ and everyone shuts up while Bischoff and Gagne apologise to me, Tammy, and Chris.
Again, bear in mind that Bischoff was the head of the company while Gagne worked as a road agent. To be able to shut up two men in a position of power and force them to apologise and wait before they can talk business with you is another sign that Haku was a very dangerous man.
