7. Miro Didn't Want A Full Gear Storyline
Now this is a bit of an odd one as it's not really known for sure exactly what the storyline involved actually was.
You see, it was eventually reported on Wrestling Observer Radio (via TJR Wrestling) that AEW President and booker Tony Khan intended to use Miro at the Full Gear 2022 PPV, with Khan pitching an idea that would ultimately have led to a match at the event for 'The Redeemer'.
According to Dave Meltzer, though, Miro didn't fancy it.
It would also be noted around that time that the idea of the former WWE star appearing in a battle royal had been discussed. Here, Miro and Hangman Page would have ended up being the final two. But the big lad just didn't like the idea of losing said contest.
Again, it's not exactly clear what the pitched storyline would have seen Miro doing in the lead-up to that November PPV. But it appears the former TNT Champion was in no rush to make a return to the land of All Elite in the role he was being asked to play at that time.
Fingers crossed he can put together a solid run alongside real-life wife CJ Perry in the coming months, though, eh. That awesome TNT title run feels like it went down a decade ago!
