10 Wrestling Tag Teams That Got The WORST Gimmicks After Splitting

"Creative has nothing for you" would be preferable...

Common wrestling narrative says that one wrestler per tag-team becomes the 'Shawn Michaels' and the other fades away into obscurity as the 'Marty Jannetty'. It's cruel, because Jannetty was one hell of a worker himself, but The Rockers have often been used as the classic example.

Not today.

Neither man went on to play a horrible singles gimmick so they don't count. It's important to set some ground rules for this one before getting started too. First, it's just a bit of fun, so the rules are a little looser than some might think; some of the gimmicks explored here didn't happen immediately after a team had split. They might've been booked later, but they still qualify.

Secondly, the intention is not to crucify these dudes for their actual in-ring work. Some of them were damn fine wrestlers, and others had successful characters or reunions after going through the old creative team routine of, 'let's throw this, this and this at the wall to see what sticks'.

Actual gimmicks, why they tanked and poking fun at the decision makers for their...decision making is very much the focus.
