6. The Dream Team

The Dream Team of Brutus Beefcake and Greg Valentine had that mid-80s WWF sheen, and they quickly emerged as one of the top tag-teams on the roster. After splitting, Beefcake went on to play his popular 'Barber' gimmick and Valentine became a hard-hitting heel.

Then, things got bad. Seriously, seriously bad.

Beefcake played an alarming number of awful gimmicks in WCW. Whether he was The Zodiac, Man With No Name, Butcher, Booty Man or Disciple, it didn't matter. Fans couldn't have cared less about Brother Bruti following the end of his first meaningful run in the WWF.

Weirdly, Valentine turned into a laughing stock himself by becoming an Elvis impersonator for somebody who was already an Elvis impersonator. His own stint as Honky Tonk Man's partner in Rhythm & Blues was visibly uncomfortable for the strait-laced boots n' tights worker.
