10 Wrestling Tag Teams That Were Totally Awkward

6. Neville And Cesaro

Late-June, 2015 marked the beginning of the tag-team formed by Cesaro and Neville. Inside the ring, both men are seriously good performers, but there was more than an air of desperation about the formation of their tandem. Once again, WWE's creative team showed that they were running low on ideas for both men, which appeared to be the only reason they were put together. Previously, Cesaro had formed another random unit with Tyson Kidd. Somewhat remarkably, they managed to develop good chemistry as a team and actually became viable WWE Tag-Team Champions. Their run was ended by an unfortunate injury to Kidd, so management felt the high-flying Neville would be a fitting replacement for the downed Canadian. That didn't prove to be the case, and the whole thing ended up being a little nondescript. WWE made no real effort to make Cesaro and Neville appear like they had any relationship or ties to one another, they were just a pair of good wrestlers who had nothing better to do. Fans picked up on that fact instantly, and the team ended up being quietly disbanded to little fanfare.
