In 1999, The Undertaker played a huge part in storylines by heading up The Ministry Of Darkness. Eventually, the story became convoluted when Vince McMahon was revealed as the 'Higher Power', and The Ministry was broken up after showing a lot of promise. The next idea the promotion had in mind for 'Taker wasn't quite as exciting as he formed a team known as the 'Unholy Alliance' with relative newcomer, The Big Show. Together, the pair won the WWF Tag-Team Titles twice, but rarely had good matches. For example, they had a mediocre battle against Kane and X-Pac at SummerSlam '99. The union was short-lived, because Undertaker suffered a groin-tear during a match and was seriously considering taking some time out to recover. This would mark the end of the 'Lord Of Darkness' era of his character and evolution into the 'biker' gimmick. As a team, Big Show and Undertaker can only really be remembered for being thrust together out of nowhere. Whilst they did hold the gold more than once, those reigns came over the span of only a few weeks. This wasn't a great period for Undertaker's character, either, making the team one that's fairly forgettable.
