10 Wrestling Trophies You Need To Know About

3. Pro Wrestling Illustrated

A long time ago before the internet and dirt sheets, any wrestling fan worth their salt in the United States read Pro Wrestling Illustrated. This publication is a monthly black and white magazine that covered, in a Kayfabe context, all aspects and promotions in professional wrestling. At the end of the year, fans of the magazine voted for wrestlers in various categories such as wrestler of the year, match of the year and rookie of the year. While the publisher would give plaques to the winners, they would also give a large trophy to individuals who won wrestler of the year such as Hulk Hogan in 1994.
