Lio Rush has been a thorn in the side of The Velveteen Dream since his NXT debut last month, but anyone up to speed on their indie trivia (or who has access to Wikipedia) knows that they were tag team partners in Maryland Championship Wrestling.

While there is little chance of a reunion in the immediate future - Rush having defeated his former friend in a TV match just a couple of weeks ago - the entirety of wrestling history tells us that competitors thereof don't tend to hold grudges for very long.

They'll be back together at some point, and - as both men grow into their respective roles as two of the most promising young talents competing in WWE's developmental arm - early next year seems like a good time for them to kiss and make up.

Since neither of them yet have the profile to challenge for NXT's main prize, this would - however predictable - also be a good way of getting them involved in a title division ahead of their inevitable move to the main roster.
