10 WWE Allegiances That Must Happen In 2018

8. AJ Styles And Shinsuke Nakamura

We've been dying to see former NJPW foes Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles in a WWE ring at the same time for nearly two years, and since a long-term feud - for the time being - looks to be on ice, why not pair them up for a few months?

This could be the perfect way, during the early part of 2018 (if not the very end of this year, once the brand wars are done with), to get some more heat on Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, who will need a pair of faces to lock horns with as they look to establish themselves as the top heel duo on SmackDown.

The downside to the Shinsuke-AJ two-piece would be that it may preclude either of them from taking the WWE Championship from Jinder Mahal, making very real the frankly horrifying possibility of the Modern Day Maharaja heading into WrestleMania with world title gold around his waist.

If you can stomach that, though, you probably won't mind seeing AJ and Nakamura becoming BFFs and then, in all likelihood, splitting up in acrimony on the eve of the biggest show of the WWE calendar.
