10 WWE Attitude Era Moments That Sucked

1. Let's Give Mae Young A Hand

Mae Young Hand When people bring up Katie Vick in discussions about the dumbest thing they've ever seen in wrestling, it's a fair point, but in reality, the entire Katie Vick storyline was something that meant well, but merely took a wrong turn. Then it proceeded to make several more wrong turns before careening off a cliff, where it turn made some more wrong turns in the water. In actuality, Mae Young sleeping with Mark Henry, getting pregnant, and then giving birth to a gooey plastic hand should go down as the dumbest thing in wrestling history. It didn't start as a good idea, and only got worse as time went on. It didn't make any sense, either in a kayfabe or non-kayfabe manner. Honestly, the only good thing to come from this entire storyline came years and years later, when this happened... Mae Young HandYes, that is WWE revisiting one of the most infamous things they've ever done, having Mae show up on Raw with her "son". See? He's all grown up now. Seeing that brought out a chuckle from even the staunchest detractors of the original angle. It was still silly, and still stupid, but at least the company had the sense of humor to make fun of themselves for it. They do deserve credit for that. As for Mark Henry, some are still surprised he was able to bounce back from what he went through in the Attitude Era to become a one-time ECW Champion and a one-time World Heavyweight Champion years later, so kudos to him.
