If you don't know much about Freddie Blassie, a heel so reviled by fans that he was once the victim of an acid bath, you got something of an idea through the legendary 1998 advert in which various elder statesmen of the game put over the new generation of talent and the incredible feats of which they were capable.

It was such a phenomenal piece of work, filmed so beautifully, that you could infer how much of a star he was with minimal context or exposition.

The WWF rather undermined this by producing another commercial in which Blassie starred as a dirty old man.

Advertising a special '3D Attitude' edition of the WWF Magazine, Blassie was filmed sat opposite an elderly woman that was meant to be his wife - but when he put on the glasses, she turned into a smoking hot broad with big bazookas. "Yeah baby," Blassie said. "Come to Freddie".

Kreuger was less sinister.

The subtext to this tagline was either "The babes in this magazine are so hot they'll even make an old man's d*ck hard" or "These glasses make the t*tties so big they'll poke your damn eye out, bro!"
