There are many life lessons and philosophies that can be applied to professional wrestling. When you're starting out on a career - whether it's working in an office or competing in developmental wrestling - you'll no doubt be told "it's not what you know, it's who you know". Knowing people in high places will get you far in life, and it seems to get you places in the WWE, too. When you spend so long on the road with 30 or 40 different guys, you're bound to become close to one or two of them (as well as gaining a few enemies along the way, too). And if you're lucky enough to befriend a top star or two, your fledgling career could quickly gather pace and head off into orbit. Plenty of backstage friendships have paid off for rookie WWE stars down the years, with guys progressing to the main event scene quicker than you can click your fingers. That means a few guys who perhaps deserved a push elsewhere have suffered - but it won't matter to the men who got the push up the card themselves. Here are ten such friendships that have provided huge rewards for the parties involved, with some enormous pushes coming from some unlikely allegiances.
