10 WWE Booking Steps For Bray Wyatt Vs Dean Ambrose Feud

9. Bray Wyatt Outlines Why He Attacked Dean Ambrose

In the build to the Survivor Series match, Bray Wyatt outlines his reasoning for attacking Dean Ambrose which includes Wyatt delving a bit more into his past before Abigail "led him to salvation." He speaks about being "controlled by madness " and that Ambrose may be too far gone for his message, so he (Wyatt) must destroy him. He talks about all of the fans (especially the children) who look up to and cheer for "a lunatic", and can't understand why the crowd that loved him for taking down John Cena and Daniel Bryan hates him so much for coming after a man more flawed than both of them combined. Having a strong psychological component for this feud is of the utmost importance, as from an in-ring standpoint, Bray Wyatt hasn't had a truly great match in quite some time, while Ambrose and Rollins are seen by the WWE Universe as having been robbed by Wyatt of that "great match" experience. Giving the crowd something significant to chew on prior to contact (that could be underwhelming) is important.
