1. Striking While The Iron's Hot
Though the two men have their match at Summerslam, Bryan wants to avenge all the physical and emotional pain that Ziggler has caused he and his wife for the past five or six months and actually embarrass Ziggler. Bryan comes out on Smackdown two weeks before the biggest event of the summer and suggests an Iron Man match; the first WWE version of the match since 2009. Ziggler initially refuses the stipulation, but as Bryan reminds him of the things that Ziggler said back in the Spring about being the better wrestler of the two, Ziggler starts to come around. Much gets made of the fact that Bryan never lost the Intercontinental Championship in the first place, and that he also never lost the WWE World Heavyweight Championship either (only Shawn Michaels, Triple H, and Edge have had to vacate both World and Intercontinental titles in their career before Bryan). On the actual night, Breeze convincingly wins against R-Truth, giving him a first decisive victory on the roster before he moves onto Ziggler's next enemy, while the ideal resolution to the title match would be a hard-fought, closely-determined victory for Bryan, all the while elevating the belt to it's rightful spot in the WWE. At the end of the day the match comes down to two guys who, in a world of 'sports entertainment', simply want to go out there and have the best wrestling match they possibly can, tell a great story, and come out victorious at the end of it.
