10 WWE Booking Steps To Daniel Bryan vs Dolph Ziggler At SummerSlam

3. No Luck For The Yes Man

The next week, Stephanie says that Bryan's 'unprovoked' attack has cost him a match at Battleground, whether it's for the Intercontinental Championship or not. Ziggler meanwhile will get to face an opponent of his choosing. He picks R-Truth, deeming him to be a challenge that he can easily overcome, and actually laughing his way down to the ring at the July pay-per-view. Truth brings a huge fight to Ziggler, and actually comes surprisingly close to beating him, but the Show Off manages to weasel his way to a victory with an eye rake when the referee's back is turned, followed by a Zig Zag for the 3-count. Once the bell rings, Ziggler gets on the mic declaring that he's the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time and that noone can touch him. 'Flight of the Valkyries' booms across the arena's speakers, and Daniel Bryan comes running down to the ring. Ziggler tries to escape through the crowd, but Bryan catches up in amongst the audience, and starts to kick, punch, and elbow Ziggler all across the venue. Eventually, Ziggler makes an escape through a fire exit, and Daniel Bryan leads a huge 'YES!' chant to close the segment.
