10 WWE Careers That Ended Too Soon Due To Injury

1. Droz

Before he arrived at the WWF, Darren Drozdov was known for playing in the NFL for both the New York Jets and Denver Broncos, and became somewhat infamous for his chronic vomiting which he used during one game to throw-up on the football before the centre could snap it.

He gained the nickname "Puke" and upon arriving in WWF, he was one subject in the documentary Beyond The Mat where Vince McMahon famously asked him to vomit on command.

Droz joined WWF in 1998 as Puke, an associate of the Legion of Doom, and was part of an unsavoury angle focusing on Road Warrior Hawk's real-life alcoholism. In 1999, now competing under the name Droz, he wrestled D-Lo Brown on SmackDown and after a powerbomb went wrong, Droz landed on his head and fractured two discs in his neck.

The injury left Droz a quadriplegic initially, although he later regained some movement in his upper body, and was kept on at WWF as a contributor to both the magazine and website.

He has repeatedly stated that he does not blame D-Lo Brown stating "I have no hard feelings toward D'Lo because s*** happens and everyone who gets involved in athletics, including WWE, knows the risks that exist. It was an accident."
