10 WWE Careers That Flatlined After WrestleMania

9. Tazz - WrestleMania 2000

2000 started oh so well for Tazz, with the Human Suplex Machine making his surprise WWE debut at that year's Royal Rumble, where he clinically choked out the then-undefeated Kurt Angle. Sure, he'd needlessly had an extra Z added to his long-time moniker, but having Tazz arrive in such a manner surely boded well for the Red Hook native's WWE future.

Bafflingly, that spectacular debut meant nothing, and Tazz found himself in a 15-man Battle Royal for the Hardcore Championship at WrestleMania 2000.

While Tazz would get another brief run with the ECW World Title shortly after 'Mania, his WWE career was far less successful. As in, Tazz found himself feuding with Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler by the summer, and saw out the year as a mainstay of Jakked and Sunday Night Heat.

Injuries were the key factor in Tazz bringing an end to his in-ring career in 2002, but it's fair to say WWE creative didn't particularly help out the one-time Tazmaniac by having him feud with a couple of announcers shortly after his first WrestleMania appearance. Even worse, Tazz actually lost to the then-51-year-old Jerry Lawler at SummerSlam 2000 in the pair's first match-up.
