Who would have seen the oft-injured lesser member of the Undisputed Era becoming someone to be feared in the ring?

Bobby Fish was a founding member of the Undisputed Era and former NXT Tag Team Champion, but he also suffered multiple injuries that took him out of action for stretches. He was released in August as the faction had splintered and NXT prepared to reboot just a couple of months later.

When Fish showed up in AEW to fight Sammy Guevara for the TNT Championship, fans would have been forgiven if they thought this was just a one-off appearance as a flavor of the week challenger. But then Fish signed with the company and had a fantastic bout against Bryan Danielson and a solid match against CM Punk.

Most recently, Fish has reunited with Undisputed Era colleague Adam Cole as something of a mercenary for Cole. Again, for a guy who was regarded as disposable by WWE, that’s quite the turnaround for Fish.
