10 WWE Castoffs Who Are Killing It In AEW

8. 2point0

When you talk about WWE castoffs, few duos fit that description better than 2point0, the former Ever-Rise in NXT.

The duo lasted about two years in NXT, toiling away mainly off-camera and not winning a televised match until June 2020. They were bounced from the 2021 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic in the first round and were released that June.

What no one could have envisioned is that Ever-Rise would be reborn as 2point0 in AEW and immediately interject themselves into a short-lived – and very one-sided – feud with Darby Allin and Sting. Their debut match featured Jeff Parker and Matt Lee joining Daniel Garcia in facing Jon Moxley, Eddie Kingston & Allin. They also had a well-received Texas Tornado match against Allin & Sting.

Most recently, the duo have drawn the ire of Eddie Kingston and Chris Jericho, which should make for some entertaining TV.

Sure, 2point0 are little more than comedy jobbers, but they’ve gotten TV time alongside an icon like Sting, and what’s more important, they’ve been entertaining as hell. Just like that AEW has realized their usefulness and made them an enjoyable part of their programming.
