3. Daniel Bryan Vs. Charlie Sheen

It’s hard to wrap your head around this match ever taking place. Daniel Bryan, one of the most technically gifted wrestlers of all time, versus the noughties sitcom star.

This all went down post Charlie Sheen’s exit from Two and a Half Men and his ‘Tiger Blood/Duh, Winning’ meltdown. WWE was quick to grasp onto the mainstream buzz Charlie was having at the time. Needing to promote his new sitcom, Anger Management, Sheen appeared on Raw via Skype as a guest commentator and took shots at Daniel Bryan throughout the show.

The Anger Management show would have played a pivotal part in the feud with Daniel’s storyline anger issues. After Daniel went at Charlie in a promo, Charlie later fired back with, "He knows where to find me." They were on track to wrestle at SummerSlam in Los Angeles that year but Sheen eventually dropped out, blaming scheduling issues.

Daniel Bryan said in his autobiography on the whole proposed angle in 2012:

"He was going through a very public breakdown at the time, and somehow WWE brokered a deal for him to perform against me. He taped a couple of videos for ‘Raw’ insulting me, and even though it was a goofy match to be in, it would’ve put me in one of the top matches at SummerSlam. Unfortunately, whoever brokered the Sheen deal never got him to sign any sort of contract to do the event, and in typical Charlie Sheen fashion, he bailed."

You have to wonder whether all-around performer Bryan could have done the improbable and pulled a decent match off with Topper from Hot Shots!
