10 WWE Champions That Completely Buried Their Challengers

5. Brock Lesnar (Challenger: Roman Reigns)

WWE is far from the shark-infested sea it used to be, but an almost hypnotic adoration from Vine McMahon towards Brock Lesnar has somehow conspired against Roman Reigns despite 'The Big Dog' seemingly being the Chairman's proper pet project for several years.

Already a figure of enormous derision due to his status as the company's handpicked John Cena replacement in 2015, Reigns was mercilessly booed by fans and battered by Brock in their spirited WrestleMania 31 battle, but a cash-in loss to Seth Rollins at least preserved that rivalry for a later day.

In the time before their overdue rematch, Roman p*ssed around the top end of the card collecting big name wins like stamps on a coffee card - Universal Champion Lesnar was effectively his freebie at WrestleMania 34. Sadly, his sixth hole wasn't Superman Punched at the 'Show Of Shows'.

A $500,000 per pay-per-view deal locked Brock in for select future dates, including a Saudi Arabia cage match that apparently required keeping the title on 'The Beast'. But Reigns lost there, too. The man already being booed out of the building every time he spoke was now having the impact of his words lessened too.
