10 WWE Champions Who Deserved Longer Runs
8. Lita
Between Lita and Trish Stratus, the women’s division was in a better place in the early ‘00s than it would be for the next 15 years or so. Admittedly it pretty much comprised those two entirely, but their chemistry and workrate made for great matches, before WWE lost interest a few years down the line.
While Stratus enjoyed several lengthy and well deserved title runs, her opponent was underserved when it came to time with the belt. She enjoyed four runs, but these accumulated to a total of 160 days.
The brevity of these runs was primarily symptomatic of the hotshot booking of WWE’s women’s division at the time, with the likes of Molly Holly and Victoria taking their turns - worthy performers, but not at the standard of Lita or Trish.
She would have thrived in today’s women’s division. While she was a major part of the Attitude Era and the years that followed, a better run with the belt would have been well deserved.
