10 WWE Christmas Moments

2. The Boogeyman Worms Santa

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hu3sA_Zv9CI Armageddon 2005 might be the worst ever use of Christmas as a storytelling tool in wrestling. Palmer Cannon (remember him?) and Teddy Long came to the ring in an unadvertised and unwanted segment in which Palmer brought out Santa Claus as a huge surprise for the crowd. The crowd cared not. Especially when St. Nick turned out to be Vito of the Full Blooded Italians accompanied by his elf Nunzio who to be fair, had the unfortunate elfen features required. They strolled to the ring to a terrible mashup of stock Christmas music and their theme song rip off of "No Sleep Til Brooklyn." Nunzi-elf tried to give out candy canes on the way to the ring but Santa kept stopping him and handing out coal instead. Including Michael Cole. Get it? Coal for Michael Cole. Genius stuff. Vito proclaimed that he first real Italian, Staten Island, New York Santa Clause and both started to list off what they wanted for Christmas. Nunzio thought they were deserving of a tag title shot but Palmer Cannon had other ideas. Instead he decided they deserved the same thing that every terrible Smackdown segment that year had, the Boogeyman. Big Boogey hit the ring, sang a Christmas song and allegedly made Vito piss his pants. He withdrew some worms from Santa's sack and threw them everywhere, making sure some of them found a new home in Vito's mouth.
