Baron Corbin was f*cking livid backstage following his loss, and great it was to see too!

God forbid WWE attempt even an ounce of realism anymore, but in one of the most genuine moments of his indifferent career as an NXT/WWE makeweight, Corbin's fire at another disastrous 2017 collapse mirrored one of the all-time great wrestler tantrums.

It was nearly 20 years earlier when an enraged British Bulldog lobbed a bin at the head at Stephanie McMahon midway through a storyline that required him to scream in his Wigan drawl for a title shot to anybody that would listen. The device was employed to buy time for the company to craft an ending to the Test/Stephanie wedding arc that lay lodged in the head of recent WCW defector Vince Russo, and inadvertently led to the industry-altering relationship between Vince's daughter and Triple H. The other tragedy to emerge from the chaotic scene was not getting to witness the flying trash repository connect with the stationary one.

Sadly, Corbin's aim wasn't quite as sharp - he'd have been a top babyface had he cleaned out Shane McMahon prior to his refereeing duties. But his fire was Davey Boy Smith-esque. Corbin's not going to win January's Royal Rumble, but kudos to the man for being the first to look like he now has to. Clash Of Champions may have been his best night on the main roster thus far.
