10 WWE Clash Of Champions 2017 Impulse Reactions
4. Criedhart
...Natalya's unconvincing crybaby act at the end was neither here nor there as a next step for her mangled persona on SmackDown Live!
She's one minute a crazy cat lady and next a credible headliner, such is WWE's wont for character misdirection on a roster that at one point looked bereft of believable titleholders. Truthfully, she's not been particularly good at either, either.
Never overly charismatic enough to be the goofball beyond the scripted reality of Total Divas, she's not had a match to hang her Hart hat on since her TakeOver torch passing with Charlotte in a 2014 Full Sail classic, and is looking more like the best of a bad situation when the pre-'revolution' female roster was a barren wasteland of missed opportunities and miscast models.
Tearfully 'turning her back' following the defeat, Natalya couldn't project herself as a fallen idol because she wasn't really on the pedestal to begin with. Against the backdrop of some utterly woeful work from her blue brand peers, Nattie's bad night had nary a shred of heft. Could that, more than her scripted content, be foreshadowing a real life departure?
