10 WWE Clichés That Need To Die

2. John Cena Overcomes The Odds

It's always great to see your favourite WWE Superstar overcome the odds and pull out the victory when seemingly insurmountable odds are stacked against them. Just look at Daniel Bryan's epic WrestleMania 30 triumphs over Triple H, Batista, and Randy Orton! However, if there's one guy who has been able to do this far too many times, it's John Cena! As hard as the commentary team tries to sell the fact that he's facing an unstoppable opponent or impossible situation, it ultimately doesn't matter if Cena is put into a match with one man or ten. You can be sure that the first mention of there being no chance of him overcoming the odds this time will see him do just that moments later! Is this something WWE are likely to give up on anytime soon? No way, and his feud with Rusev should prove that. Even in what was described - in story - as the worst year of his career following his defeat at the hands of The Rock in 2012, Cena still won the Money in the Bank ladder match AND the Royal Rumble. Like it or not, he's the WWE's Superman.
