These are just the worst. Distraction roll ups have always been a big part of WWE programming, but it feels like they're used more now than ever before. It's a lazy finish and one which is used primarily to help drag out most midcard or Diva feuds. This level of repetitiveness means that it's easy to spot when they're going to happen from a mile off, and it's borderline insulting to the WWE Superstars and Divas who are made to look dumb by constantly falling for them. Your rival's entrance music hits? Of course you should stand by the ropes staring at the empty stage so your opponent can sneak up behind you! Another tedious example is a Superstar on guest commentary ditching their mic and climbing on top of the announce table, suddenly rendering the person in the ring completely useless! Distraction roll ups could actually have a place in the WWE, with Sting's recent Raw arrival a good example of how they can be used in a more creative fashion.
