There are countless issues with WWE's commentary teams (both on Raw and SmackDown), but one bad habit which has definitely become a cliché is the fact that they just seem to tune out during Divas matches. In fact, they'll often end up babbling almost incoherently about something entirely unrelated for most of the match, and it's downright disrespectful. The Divas division has enough issues as it is, so how does the WWE expect to get viewers interested in these matches if Michael Cole (the "voice" of the WWE) and his colleagues aren't? They don't take these bouts seriously, so it's no wonder many fans see them as an excuse to take a toilet break. This is a constant on WWE programming unfortunately. Watching NXT, the contrast in how that announce team - regardless of who's on it - discuss and analyse Divas matches is startling. They treat them with the same level of importance as anything else on the card, and it could be argued that that plays a role in why the likes of Charlotte and Sasha Banks are more respected than many Divas on the WWE roster.
