When it comes to accomplishments outside of the two biggest wrestling companies in the game, Jeff Cobb has it all. Having held titles in NJPW, Lucha Underground, and Ring Of Honor, as well as being a former winner of the prestigious Battle Of Los Angeles tournament in PWG, Cobb is a powerhouse beast of a man who is an asset to any company lucky enough to have them on their roster.

It begs the question, then, how has WWE managed to fumble this man's momentum in next to no time at all? Debuting as part of Solo Sikoa's MFTs, JC Mateo has been reduced to substandard matches and limited in-ring work that doesn't show a fraction of what he's capable of.

Now part of a tag team that shows little sign of being anywhere near championship caliber, Mateo's role as a bit-part player of a stable that is essentially a vehicle for Solo Sikoa is a criminal waste of his talent. Factor in that this Filipino man, born in Hawaii, is being presented as part of the very Samoan Bloodline dynasty, and this confusing mess of a character was doomed from the start.
