10 WWE Decisions That Were Great For About A Minute

6. The Majority Of The NXT Call-Ups

Some of these seriously still sting today. I mean how (HOW!?) do you manage to c*ck up the calling up of ready made charismatic characters like Shinsuke Nakamura, Sami Zayn, Finn Bálor and Asuka, with a level of consistency which is bordering on impressive?

When Nakamura arrived on the main roster, the crowd exploded as they knew the man who'd tore it up in Japan and NXT was now getting the chance to do it on a mega stage. Then he got thrown in a feud with Dolph Ziggler and d*ck punched AJ Styles…

Zayn erupted onto the main roster - wrestling a barnstormer with John Cena - only to lose any sort of momentum when he went on to continually lose every feud he was involved in.

Bálor swept through the establishments of Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins en route to becoming the first ever Universal Champion, only to relinquish the gold through injury. That couldn't be helped, but his eventual return never saw him given a chance to hit his initial heights and he has now since returned to NXT.

Also, the less said about the speed that WWE managed to stifle the mystique of the first ever Women's Royal Rumble winner, Asuka - via a WrestleMania whooping by Charlotte Flair - the better.

The minute we get excited about an NXT legend's prospects on the main roster, they are dashed before our very eyes.
