10 WWE "Divas" Who Missed The Revolution

7. AJ Lee

AJ Lee left WWE right in a very interesting time. The #GiveDivasAChance hashtag kicked off in late February in regards to Paige & Emma losing in a one-move, 30-second match against the Bella Twins, just a week after Sasha Banks had defeated Charlotte, Bayley and Becky Lynch in an amazing fatal 4-way match for the NXT women’s championship at Takeover: Rival. The contrast between the two products was clear, and the rumblings had began. A few controversial tweets questioning Stephanie McMahon’s handling of the women in WWE and one Wrestlemania later, and AJ was gone by April.

But don’t get it twisted, even after three of the four in that Takeover fatal 4-way were brought up to the main roster, the first move of the Bellas v B.A.D. v PCB era of the ‘Revolution’ was to ensure Nikki Bella eclipsed AJ Lee’s record on the butterfly belt before Charlotte reached it.

It’s easy to say “What If AJ Had Stayed One More Year”, to wonder if she would have still quit with the presentation and personnel of the division as it is currently; but it’s also possible that without her making the noise and leaving, the changes never would have been as major as they were. Kinda comparable to one CM Punk, eh?
