10 WWE "Divas" Who Missed The Revolution

4. Ivelisse

Ever the tale of “What Could Have Been”, one of Lucha Underground’s shining stars Ivelisse Vélez was once signed to WWE. Long before the Temple called, she was Sofia Cortez on the fifth season of Tough Enough, who went onto be founding member of The Anti-Divas stable alongside Paige and Raquel Diaz (Eddie Guerrero’s daughter) before FCW rebranded as the NXT we know and love today.

Ivelisse left due to issues with then-head coach Bill DeMott, who resigned in 2015 following a flood of misconduct accusations, but she’s noted as having left the developmental system at the same time as Sasha Banks, Bayley, and Charlotte were joining as new recruits.

While she has gone onto create an impact in Lucha Underground parallel to that of those very recruits in NXT, the question remains of Ivelisse’s potential in the current climate had she remained in WWE.
