Amy Zidian was part of the 2006 Diva Search class, an impressive line-up that included Maryse, the Bella twins, Rosa Mendes, and eventual winner Layla El. Zidian also managed to snare herself a contract, though, at the behest of John Laurinaitis. She was briefly sent to OVW, then brought up in late 2006 to play the role of Jimmy Wang Yang's redneck girlfriend. Immediately, Zidian began rubbing other Divas the wrong way. Seniority goes a long way in WWE's hierarchy, and when you're new, everybody's more senior than you, so it's best to keep a low profile. Zidian took the opposite road, antagonizing her coworkers. Reportedly, she asked Vickie Guerrero why she was a WWE Diva, then proceeded to insult her appearance. An affront of the sort on the recently bereaved Guerrero would have been enough to end Zidian's career in and of itself, but Laurinaitis stepped in to smooth things over. The final straw came when Zidian, filming a TV segment, was given direction by Stephanie McMahon which the WWE's newest Diva didn't take well. She asked McMahon who she thought she was to give her advice, and "The Billion Dollar Princess" told Zidian exactly who she was. Shortly thereafter, she was fired.
