10 WWE Dream Matches That Only Happened Once

6. John Cena Vs. Vince McMahon

Certainly not a classic by any means, but considering how much Vince McMahon used to love inserting himself and his family into the stories of his top superstars it is a genuine surprise to me that this only happened once.

Not only that, but the two of them were feuding with other individuals at the time, as John Cena was headed to WrestleMania to face Triple H and Papa Vince was beefing with Shawn Michaels. Well, HBK and God himself, that is.

The Face That Runs The Place and the actual, legitimate face that runs the place squared off on the March 27th, 2006 episode of Monday Night RAW. The match itself would be over before anything exciting could truly happen, when Triple H decided to come to the aid of his father-in-law.

Not a classic epic, but a surprising one-timer and genuine curiosity.

In fact, a number of Vince McMahon's singles matches have been one-offs. He has also faced Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar and Bobby Lashley a singular time.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
